Aiea's Interact Club volunteered with the Humane Society's adoption event at the Pearl City Petco and we hustled like no one's business: in under three hours, we found ten dogs new, loving homes.  The kids loved it and want to make this a regular event for us (every other week).

It's always nice to see our kids investing in things outside of themselves - that's where true compassion grows!

HOMECOMING WEEK - DAY 4: CHARACTER DRESS UP

September 16, 2010: The day before homecoming, students gained more spirit and competitivness. The dress-up theme was "movie character dress up." Students wore halloween-like costumes all over the campus, mimicking their favorite movie characters. Each class made their way to A5 during wiki to retrieve their spirit points while classes distributed their class t-shirts. The lunch noon-hour was also a success, gathering a large crowd toward the end due to the lunch food booths. The games were themed, "music game day," connecting the movie character dress up with musical games for entertainment.
