Selected leaders from around the state of Hawaii were given the opportunity to attend this years Student Leadership Conference (SLC) at UH Manoa for 3 days and 2 nights. They were able to dorm in Frear Hall, and partake in various activities and leadership conferences facilitated by businesses at Kaimuki High School. Here they were able to learn valuable leadership skills such as communication, time management, public speaking, college options, and problem solving techniques, and also learn of ice breakers and activities that could be implemented at their schools. Although it was very tiring, everyone was able to enjoy themselves, make new friends, and create lasting memories. Remember leaders: TO BE ENTHUSIASTIC YOU MUST ACT ENTHUSIASTIC!!!!!!

HOMECOMING WEEK - DAY 4: CHARACTER DRESS UP

September 16, 2010: The day before homecoming, students gained more spirit and competitivness. The dress-up theme was "movie character dress up." Students wore halloween-like costumes all over the campus, mimicking their favorite movie characters. Each class made their way to A5 during wiki to retrieve their spirit points while classes distributed their class t-shirts. The lunch noon-hour was also a success, gathering a large crowd toward the end due to the lunch food booths. The games were themed, "music game day," connecting the movie character dress up with musical games for entertainment.
