HALLOWEEN BRINGS A SCARE TO AIEA




October 29, 2010: The halloween festivities were brought to Aiea a couple days early this year. Students dressed up all throughout the school. At wiki, those students made their way down to A5 to receive spirit points for their class, and to the outdoor stage at lunch to compete in the annual halloween costume contest. The three categories were scariest, most original and best group costume. And, although gloomy weathers hit, students still came out to show off their halloween spirit! September 16, 2010: The day before homecoming, students gained more spirit and competitivness. The dress-up theme was "movie character dress up." Students wore halloween-like costumes all over the campus, mimicking their favorite movie characters. Each class made their way to A5 during wiki to retrieve their spirit points while classes distributed their class t-shirts. The lunch noon-hour was also a success, gathering a large crowd toward the end due to the lunch food booths. The games were themed, "music game day," connecting the movie character dress up with musical games for entertainment.
