Homecoming 2013-2014

AHS Football
This year’s homecoming was filled with Na’Alii pride. All grade levels were required to make a mini float and create a dance performance. Our theme this year was “Upon a Revolution”. They were both showcased at our homecoming assembly on Friday September 23, 2013.

To kick off our homecoming assembly we had our homecoming court performance. Our freshmen princess was Pearl Abuy and her prince was Ajzhen Goo. Our sophomore princess was Kelani Moore and her prince was Charles Ombao. Our junior princess was Gezlen Ragudos and her prince was Gabe Igafao. Our senior princess was Jazlyn Corpuz and her prince was Mikel Raza. Last but not least our queen was her majesty Kristi-Ann Say and her king was his majesty Zachary Barte. The court danced to their rendition of popular current songs.

The freshmen’s take on our theme was the “revolution of love” in their performance they showcased cool dance moves and showed how your special person is out there. Their performance placed 3rd. For their mini-float their theme was the “revolution of our high school career” They made stairs leading to their final goal, graduation. On the side of the staircase had each freshman’s personal goals. Their mini-float placed 3rd as well. Good job freshmen!

The super sophomores take on this year’s theme was the “revolution of games” they wowed the crowd with their cool choreography. They stuck to the same theme for their mini-float. On one side they showed an original Nintendo and on the other side an iphone. Surrounding their float were popular video game characters like Mario and Kirby.

Juniors Performance
The awesome juniors sub-theme was a “revolution of music”. With their hip dance moves and awesome class spirit, they took 2nd. For their mini-float they created a “ferris wheel of life” which included their journey of high school. They also took 2nd place for their mini-float.

Last but not least were the mighty seniors. For their performance they blew everyone away by putting a twist to all of their previous songs from the past homecomings. To close their show they danced to a beautiful remix of our alma matter. For their mini-float they displayed a rotating globe making a “revolution” and around it placed their “hands” along with drug free messages. It inspired Aiea High showing that the revolution is within ourselves and we can revolutionize the world. The seniors went out with a bang placing 1st overall.
